Cusco Perú Journey

Cusco Perú is located at 3,350 meters above sea level. The city is right in the heart of the Peruvian Andes to the west side of watanay river with an actual land territory of 76,225 Km2. Cuzco was the capital of the Great Inca Empire also called Qosqo, at the Spanish arrival Lima became the capital and the name was change to Peru. Cusco, Cuzco or qosqo (quechua inca language) is centrally located in south America and perhaps the richest archeological site compare to all Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador. To the North, it is bounded by Quito Ecuador, to the west it is bounded by La Paz Bolivia, due to Cusco’s location, most tourist and travelers start their adventure in Cusco. From Cusco City they start their journeys towards Bolivia, Chile, and Ecuador.
Cusco has a large Amazonian plain in the southern part of the Peruvian jungle (amazon). Machupicchu is about 2 hours by train from Cusco, the Sacred Valley was a very important Inca route and offers a wonderful view of Inca architecture, nearby is Titicaca Lake. Cusco time or Peruvian time follows the eastern United States time, except when daytime savings is adjusted in the spring every year. Cusco has always played a very important role during the great Inca state reign. Cusco now days offers all the eccentric engineering, and incredible unmatched architecture. While visiting Machu Picchu you’ll be pleasantly surprised to see a very advance engineering and architecture execution at the top a steep hill.
